General Understanding
What is energetic healing?
Energetic healing is a gentle approach that works with your body’s natural energy systems. Just like your body has blood flow and a nervous system, it also has an energetic flow. When energy is balanced and moving freely, you feel healthier, calmer, and more connected to yourself.
How does it work?
Practitioners use techniques such as The Emotion Code to identify and release blockages, restore balance, and encourage the body’s natural ability to heal itself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Is it connected to religion or spirituality?
Energetic healing is not tied to any religion. People from all faiths (or none at all) can benefit from it. You can choose to view it as spiritual or simply as a wellness practice. While I ask for support and guidance from my Higher Power during sessions, clients are encouraged to tap into whatever feels “right” for them. This could be saying a prayer, meditating for a moment, or just sitting in silence.
What’s the science behind it?
While modern science is still catching up, research in fields like quantum physics, neuroscience, and psychoneuroimmunology shows that energy and intention can influence the body. Many people also simply experience positive results firsthand.
The Process
What happens during a session?
Sessions are usually calm and conversational. We will discuss goals for the session, I will connect energetically, and then begin the decoding process. I may occasionally ask questions related to things I uncover, such as whether a specific emotion at a certain age rings a bell (and it’s okay if nothing comes to mind!) During PSYCH-K® balances, you will need to be able to do simple seated movements, such as crossing your ankles/wrists and holding your hand out wide. You are in charge—if at any point you wish to switch goals, we can! I sometimes make suggestions based on what you are telling me and what information I’m getting from your subconscious.
Will I feel anything physically or emotionally during or after?
Everyone is different. Some people feel physical warmth or tingling. Others feel emotional release, calmness, clarity, or more grounded. You can also feel energized and more focused. Sometimes changes are very quick; other times they are subtle and build over time. Your specific journey will unfold exactly how it is meant to.
How many sessions do I need to see results?
Some people notice a shift after one session, while others benefit from a series. It depends on your goals and how deep the patterns are. In general, everyone will be able to access deeper levels of healing with more sessions.
I notice you only offer online sessions-how does this work?
Correct-all of my sessions are virtual. I can connect to your subconscious field wherever in the world you may be. It all comes down to physics and intention. Energy—even the energy in our physical bodies—is not limited by boundaries. I set the intention to connect energetically with YOU—and it happens. We are significantly more powerful than we have been led to believe.
Practical Details
What kinds of issues can energetic healing help with?
It can support stress relief, emotional healing, physical wellness, self-confidence, relationships, and more. It’s a powerful complement to your current personal growth and well-being endeavors. Energetic healing can support the body’s natural ability to heal and may bring relief with physical concerns. However, I’m not a medical doctor, and I’m not yet certified in The Body Code (though it’s a future goal!). I do not provide medical advice.
Who is this for? Is it safe? Are there side effects?
Yes, it’s gentle and safe. Everyone can benefit from energetic healing, including young children and animals.
About 20% of the time, there may be some mild tiredness, minor aches, or some emotional sensitivity after a session. Allow yourself grace as your body readjusts its energy flow and integrates the changes we make. Rest and hydration help, and these changes typically disappear within a day.
How can I support myself during this time?
If you wish to journal, meditate, or spend time grounding in nature, these practices can accelerate your integration. Staying hydrated is also important with energy work. Practicing self-awareness and noticing your thoughts, actions, and reactions to life events can further your understanding of your inner world. This can also help you notice how you are benefiting from this journey.
Will it clash with my medical treatments or therapy?
Nope-energetic work is totally safe. It is a wonderful compliment to traditional talk therapy.
Is it covered by insurance?
Generally, energetic healing is not covered by insurance, though some wellness plans may allow for alternative therapies.
